THANKSGIVING

Screen Shot 2015-09-04 at 7.29.42 PM “…proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done” (Ps 64:9 NIV).

Because I have “spiritual Alzheimer’s, always forgetting” Ann Voskamp (ref#130, p128), “I have come to realize that my greatest sin of omission is this lack of exceeding gratitude for God Himself” James P. Gills, M.D. (ref#149, p395). So GOD, Himself, must cause His wonders to be remembered (Ps 111:4).

“C. S. Lewis argued: that the most fundamental thing is not how we think of God but rather what God thinks of us: ‘How God thinks of us is not only more important, but infinitely more important’…Giving thanks awakens me to a God giving Himself…to me…” Ann Voskamp (ref#130, p205).

“God makes love with grace upon grace, every moment a making of His love for us. And He invites the turning over of the hand, the opening and saying the Yes with thanks. Then God lays down all of His fullness into all the emptiness. I am in Him. He is in me” Ann Voskamp (ref#130, p216-217).

The “feeling of joy begins in the action of thanksgiving” Tonia Peckover  (ref#130, p176). What could bring us more joy than expressing the infinite love GOD has for us!

NOTE: I have written these entries as my thanks to GOD. But since you and I are of “one mind” in CHRIST, you will find it easy to make these thanksgiving entries your own.
