BOUNDLESS AND LIMITLESS

How great are Your signs, O LORD (Dan 4:3).

They are inestimable—

they cannot be properly appreciated (ref#110, p690);

they are incredible (ref#110, p684).

LORD, how mighty are Your works (Dan 4:3).

They cannot be measured;

they are too great—

simply invaluable (ref#110, p690).

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom (Dan 4:3).

You are immanent—

present throughout the universe (ref#110, p674)—

boundless and limitless (ref#110, p1453).

Your dominion endures to all generations (Dan 4:3).

You love with an everlasting love (Jer 31:3);

You continue forever in faithfulness (Jer 31:3);

You are undefinable (ref#110, p1453).

CONFESSION

SOLOMON’S PRAYER

…FATHER, there is no GOD like You in heaven above or on the earth beneath keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart (1 Kings 8:23). I pray Your eyes be open day and night looking toward me to listen to my cry (2 Chron 6:19-20).

You have promised relief for me from the hardships caused by my sin if I turn to You in humility and prayer (ref#56, p606, [2 Chron 7:14]). So, act and judge me, condemn me if I am guilty by bringing my conduct on my own head; but vindicate me if I’m righteous by rewarding me according to my righteousness (1 Kings 8:32).

If I pray and acknowledge Your name and turn from my sin when You afflict me, then hear in heaven and forgive my sin (1 Kings 8:35-36). Listen to my pleas and when You hear, forgive (1 Kings 8:30).

Whatever plague, whatever sickness, whatever prayer, whatever plea I make, knowing the affliction of my own heart, hear in heaven and forgive and act and render to me according to all my ways. (1 Kings 8:37-39). Act on my behalf, so I might fear You all the days I live (1 Kings 8:40).

When I sin against You and You are angry and give me to an enemy, remember to maintain my cause and forgive me when I turn my heart and repent saying, “I have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly” (1 Kings 8:45-47).

Forgive all my transgressions that I have committed against You; grant me compassion in the sight of my enemies, that they may have pity and be merciful to me (I Kings 8:50).

Let Your eyes be open to my pleas giving ear to them whenever I call to You, for You have separated me from the peoples of the earth to be Your heir (1 Kings 8:52-53).

Do not leave me or forsake me that I might incline my heart to You, to walk in all Your ways and to keep Your commandments—Your statutes—Your rules (1 Kings 8:57-58). Maintain my cause as each day requires that the whole earth may know that You are the LORD GOD and there is no other (1 Kings 8:59-60). And so, let my heart therefore be wholly true to You (1 Kings 8:61).

INFRANGIBLE

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom (Ps 145:13).

You have exclusive control—

exclusive privilege, exclusive possession.

You have an eternal monopoly (ref#110, p879).

Your dominion endures throughout all generations (Ps 145:13).

You are not limited;

You are not confined;

You are not restricted (ref#110, p1462).

You uphold the universe by just Your word (Heb 1:3).

You have unlimited power and authority;

You are omnipotent and superior (ref#110, p946, 1344).

You are excellent and above all else (ref#110, p1344).

You are unapproachable and unmatched;

You have no rival or equal (ref#110, p1451).

You cannot be violated or infringed upon;

You are infrangible (ref#110, p693).

CONFESSION

DOUBTS AND FEARS

…FATHER, You know me. You do not need anyone to bear witness concerning me. You know me in my deprived state (John 2:24). Yet, even as I display my humanness, You know my meek and broken spirit. Therefore You look on me with “pity, complacency and delight.” You know I mourn because I love and serve You so little. Even though my heart is simple You will love me so that my entire soul shall be full of light (ref#15, [John 2:24]).

But, sometimes I have doubts and fear that I am not Your child because the enemy convinces me my sins separate us. Some days I do not have the faith that assures me I am Yours. But, I do trust You; through experience I know You can be counted on. I do depend on You.

“Doubting faith is not doubtful faith. If the believer has not the faith of assurance, he may have the faith of reliance, and that will take him to heaven” Octavius Winslow (ref#61, March 13th).

Thankfully these doubts and fears keep me humble. Being weak and dependent make me gravitate toward prayer as I long to possess the merits of JESUS (ref#61, March 13th). The enemy’s accusations drive me in a good direction. They move aside the pride assurance brings and allow more seeking of my Savior.

IMPERISHABLE

GOD, You are greater than I can understand (Job 36:26).

You are undiscoverable—

You cannot be fully known (ref#110, p1456).

You are beyond the limits of possible experience (ref#110, p1419).

Your kingdom cannot be destroyed (Dan 2:44),

for You are indestructible (ref#110, p677),

yes, immeasurable—

boundless and vast are You (ref#110, p674).

Your unconquerable kingdom will stand forever (Dan 2:44).

It cannot be erased or blotted out

since You are indelible—

permanent and lasting (ref#110, p685).

Your years cannot be counted (Job 36:26),

for You exist apart from the material universe.

You are transcendent (ref#110, p1419),

imperishable and continuing forever (ref#110, p677, 1414).

REFLECTIONS ON CHRIST

…FATHER, my eyes are on CHRIST for “…my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly]…” (Phil 3:10 AMP).

FATHER, do not let me lose sight of my determined purpose. I gladly review the Glorious CHRIST through Your word.

CHRIST, You are gentle and humble in heart (Matt 11:29) and yet You overcome the world (John 16:33). You reflect the glory of Your FATHER and bear the very stamp of His nature; You uphold the universe by Your word of power (Heb 1:3) and yet You live and make Your home in me (1 John 3:24).

FATHER, in the face of JESUS CHRIST, Your glory is seen (2 Cor 4:6), yet CHRIST bears my grief and carries my sorrows (Isa 53:4). In Him all Your fullness dwells (Col 1:19), yet CHRIST personally rescues me and draws me to Himself, investing me with all the privileges of a new life in Him (1 Thes 1:10).

When CHRIST walked this earth, FATHER, He found that in Your presence, was fullness of joy and at Your right hand were pleasures forevermore (Ps 16:11). I desire fellowship with JESUS so that I may experience His joy of You fulfilled in myself. I want to comprehend CHRIST’s delight complete in me. Oh, that His joy may be perfected in my soul—that I may have His gladness filling my heart (John 17:13)

CHRIST is Your power working, FATHER, thus I have a personal trust springing from faith and leading to faith (Rom 1:16,17). Thank You for CHRIST Who is the Author and Perfecter of faith (Heb 12:2). Thank You for CHRIST Who enables me to move along in this world as He, Himself, did—from faith to faith.
