I BELIEVE

The word, “Christian” has many diverse meanings depending on who you ask.  But ultimately it encompasses a firm set of moral standards. Most worldviews today do not embrace a set of standards designed for everyone.  Instead, everyone has his or her own set of standards.

But FATHER, as a “Christian” Your Word dictates my standards; I do not have the liberty to pick and choose what I believe.  Therefore to obtain my solid assurance of living with CHRIST, I must follow Your dictates revealed in Scripture:

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him”(John 3:36 ESV).

 “…whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life”(John 5:24 ESV).

“…believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord,”(Rom 4:24 ESV).

“…whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”(Heb 11:6 ESV).

“…believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him”(1 John 4:16 ESV).

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! (Ps 27:13 ESV).
