Psalm 116

I love You Lord, because You hear my voice and listen to my pleas for mercy.
Because You incline Your ear to me,
I will call on You as long as I live (Ps 116:1-2).

The snares of death, they have encompassed me.
I suffer distress—anguish.
So I call on Your name, O LORD,
pleading, “Rescue me, my FATHER” (Ps 116:3-4)!

CHORUS:
You have delivered my soul from death—

my eyes from tears—my feet from falling.

In Your presence—in this world,
I will walk before You, LORD (Ps 116:8-9).

Gracious are You—O LORD, righteous;
Full of compassion You are.
You protect the simple-hearted.
when I was brought low, You saved me (Ps 116:5-6).

How merciful You are; You preserve—You save.
I am engulfed by Your love Whenever I look at You.

CHORUS:

BRIDGE:
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
GOD has dealt bountifully with me (Ps 116:7).

Return, O my soul,
To your rest.

CHORUS:

ENDING:
I will walk before You, LORD (Ps 116:8-9).
